Beth Moore Rocks!

Well doesn't she?

I am in a Beth Moore Bible study at church right now. We are going through Daniel. I love it! Who would have thought that it held such rich insights into my life right now!?! Not I! (I'm, of course, guilty yet again of underestimating God's power to speak to me through His Word.) I'm so grateful for it! We are now on Week 5 and the conviction is pumping through my veins! I love how she compares the consecrated golden goblets that King Belshazzar used to toast the gods of his land to us as vessels of Christ. She refers to 2 Timothy 2:20-21:
"In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for noble purposes and some for ignoble. If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be an instrument for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work."
We are bought with a price and set aside; consecrated by a holy God for His own purpose and He wants us to behave like we are different! She challenged me not to let my enemy use me as his vessel to make an unholy toast ever again!

Anyway, a good Bible study in a small group is such a treasure. I am really thanking God that He led me to attend this one.

I also enjoyed "A Woman After God's Own Heart" by Elizabeth George. I took that one or two years ago and it really got me memorizing scripture... and it convicted me of my need for a mentor. I'm so grateful for Jeannette Henry who came alongside me at that point and continues to pray for me and offer me insight.

What good Bible studies have you been doing lately? Or even ever?
