I Miss My Sister!

Easter is one of my favorite holidays. I love the smell of growing things in the air... the bright tulips waving in the April breeze... seeing the trees decked out in blossoms. I love it. I love especially the time to reflect on Christ's resurection and the fact that we serve a living God! There is nothing stuffy or traditional about Easter services for me. It feels new every spring. I think the Holy Spirit renews the reality of His redemptive work in my heart and life every year. Never more so than this year. I feel like Henry growing and developing inside me is a picture of why Jesus did what he did. His brand new life reminds me of how precious each life- each soul is to God the Father. Jesus came to earth, submitting to His Father's plan. He walked in our shoes, sinless, and then willingly suffered a humiliating and painful death because He loved us so much! He then defeated death itself, ensuring that the saints would never have to fear it again! Praise the Lord!
And yet, even at one of my favorite times of year... I'm feeling a little bit forlorn. Like this is all incomplete somehow.
Our family just is not complete without Kelly! She needs to come home! I know D. C. is exciting and huge, and full of promise, but Meridian, ID is full of family that misses her. I'm so proud of her and the intership she is completing, but I can't wait for her to come home!

I miss her too!!! It isn't the same without ALL of our family together on holidays. We enjoyed our time with you last night and the relaxing day that we had (after getting home from church). It was an awesome service today. The music, drama, and message were wonderful. HE IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN, INDEED!

Love you,
Mom
