Wedding Memories

It has been such a long time since I looked at these. I can use the reminder from time to time! Here are a few of our moments I'd love to share with you. My Uncle Derrick, Daddy, and Uncle Mort.
My parents, who have just this year celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.
Congratulations Mom and Dad, and thank you for the Godly example!

Uncle Derrick and Kelly
My beautiful sister Hollie clowning around.
Hollie, Amber, Kelly and I posing for some pictures (and joking about Kelly's bruises on her arms.)
My groom and I. *sigh*

Our prayer after the candle lighting. While we prayed together our music pastor Jesse Shuster (also here) played Steven Curtis Chapman's "I Will be Here" (This is just a youtube link, no big deal; I just love the song so much.) It was magical. Brent made me laugh... it was the highlight, I think, of the whole wedding.
Except for this moment, maybe. :)

So amazing how we thought that this was somehow IT... the beginning of something great. Now I realize the truth is it was just the beginning of the beginning. I'm coming to understand that marriage makes heaven and eternity more real and more potent in the here and now.
Come Lord Jesus. But until you do, thank you for the ones I love. Thank you for blessing me with this taste of what heaven will be.

This is such a sweet post! Congrats to your parents on 30 years, that is awesome! I love the photos you posted on here. You two are so perfect for each other and I really hope that in another 20-some years, we can celebrate your wedding anniversary the same as your parents. I can't wait to see you next weekend!

My folks are pretty terrific all right! Mom and dad, and Brent's parents Bridget and Ron have set an example that we will follow... we are so blessed to have that!
