I just finished reading the first two books in the Twilight series- Twilight and New Moon. (They're making a movie based on the first book due out in November, I think.) They are really amazing books. Everyone at my work is passing them back and forth. They are soooo suspensful and romantic. I can see why they are becoming the cult classic.
Now, I just started The Shack, and it's already made me cry... It's also shaping up to be a page turner. I had to put it down today because it was just too much for a girl on too little sleep to process right now. There is a word for this... this problem I have.
...bookaholic...

I read The Shack on the recommendation of an unsaved friend. It sure gave me lots to talk about with her! People so often get caught up on the emotional aspect of a book. The "god" protrayed in the book certainly was not THE GOD of the Bible!
Yes. I'll say this though, it was certainly an imaginative read. I enjoyed it. I think if someone was interested in an allegory of God that fits his character better, the Chronicles of Narnia are wonderful!
I did love the way it treated the issue of a personal relationship with Jesus. I loved the idea of walking and talking and skipping stones with Him.
Love you, Gail!
